Cookie Policy
Effective: January 1, 2025 · Local Boost Lab, LLC
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information between pages or visits. Cookies cannot execute code or deliver viruses; they are simply small data records linked to the website that set them.
2. How We Use Cookies
Local Boost Lab uses strictly necessary cookies only. We do not deploy analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies. The sole cookies set on this site are essential to make checkout and onboarding work.
3. Third-Party Cookies
When you click through to Stripe's checkout page to purchase a plan, Stripe may set its own cookies on stripe.com. These are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. We have no control over, and are not responsible for, cookies set by Stripe.
Google Tag Manager (GTM) is loaded on this site. GTM itself does not set cookies, and we have not configured any GTM tags that set cookies. GTM is used only to manage the structure of any future scripts we may add.
4. Cookie Retention Periods
| Category | Maximum Retention | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Consent preference (lbl_cookie_consent) | 12 months | Stored in localStorage, not a network cookie |
| Stripe checkout session | Session (closes with browser tab) | Managed by Stripe |
| Vercel Speed Insights | Session | No cross-site or persistent tracking |
Note: lbl_cookie_consent is stored in your browser's localStorage, not as an HTTP cookie. It works the same way — it persists across browser sessions until cleared — but it is never transmitted to our servers.
5. Managing Cookies in Your Browser
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Instructions for common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent checkout and onboarding from working correctly. Because we only use essential cookies, blocking all cookies will impair your ability to subscribe to our service.
To clear your consent preference stored in localStorage, open your browser's developer tools (F12 or Cmd+Option+I), go to the Application tab, select Local Storage → localboostlab.com, and delete the lbl_cookie_consent key. The cookie banner will reappear on your next visit.
6. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because we do not track users across sites or build behavioral profiles, our site's behavior is already consistent with DNT preferences regardless of the signal sent.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if we add new functionality that requires new cookies. Material changes will be communicated via the cookie banner on the site and updated here with a new effective date. The most current version is always at localboostlab.com/cookies.
